An initiative to bend the party a few weeks before the Congress of the Socialist Party? Trapped between the mayor of Rouen Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol and the current head of the Socialists, Olivier Faure, Boris Vallaud wants to be noticed. What to push him to launch a consultation of the activists who will have to appoint their new boss in June, according to BFMTV information.
Among the questions to which the Socialists will be taken to answer, we find in particular the proposal to create “immediately an academy of ‘Léon Blum’, both” ideological production center “and” training of executives and militants “.
“Permanence” everywhere in France
Boris Vallaud had already put the theme at the table in March, seeing to be inserted from the Institut La Beétie, an organ of reflection launched by France Insoumise in 2020.
Another proposal aimed at activists: the possible launch of a “new media” entitled “The New Popular” or the opening of “socialist permanence” throughout France, which are currently limited to the territories of PS agents.
In a letter addressed to the activists, the president of the PS agents also took the opportunity to distance himself from Olivier Faure, without appointing him.
Therefore, socialists are invited to say if they want to “be more associated with national strategic decisions” such as the “choice of alliances” with rebel France during future elections or even “internet consultations for various subjects.”
Go
So many elements that the first secretary of the PS has not established, however, in the position since 2018, while allowing the passage to clearly act with the rupture with the rebels. In recent months, tensions have still increased a level between the two NUTPUS partners and after the new Popular Front that could be joined in the 2022 legislative elections and then 2024.
Long supporter of the Union, Olivier Faure has distanced himself for a long time, trying to give salaries to the internally criticizing this agreement with the rebellious France. Therefore, Boris Vallaud’s proposal does not occur by chance, less than a week after strong tensions during the demonstration of May 1.
Several PS elected officials, including deputy Jérôme Guys, were taken to the task and the standing stand. Anti -Semitic insults have also been heard. Part of the Socialists accused LFI of being responsible for overflows. Manuel Bompard, the coordinator of the rebels, said he did not want to be linked to these incidents.
No “A Congress of Revenge”
But in the entourage of Boris Vallaud, we must not see in this letter addressed to the activists an agreement of account with Olivier Faure.
“If unfortunately many executives dream of a revenge Congress, we have pointed out on the land that activists agree mainly on many things,” he judges one of their relatives with BFMTV.
“Taking witnesses of the activists allows you to get out of the logic of the block against the block in which some want to lock this congress,” defends one of the relatives of the president of the socialist deputies.
The questionnaire will be sent on Wednesday by email to 40,000 activists.
