The national coordinator of LFI Manuel Bompard, estimated this Sunday, May 25, that Emmanuel Macron had an attitude of “conspirator” in his treatment of the recent report on the Muslim Brotherhood, and judged “unfortunate” the proposal of Gabriel Attal forbid the use of the Islamic veil to girls under 15 years.
President Emmanuel Macron had gathered on Wednesday a defense council dedicated to a report on the Muslim Brotherhood and was intended to fight an Islamist “assignment” in France.
When Emmanuel Macron “accredits” this thesis “since he does a defense advice on the subject, he is a conspirator,” said Manuel Bomparding to the RTL/m6/le figaro jurus/lem/public Senate.
“Islamophobic choirs”
“Regarding the issue of Islamophobia, it is clear that for months and months in the public debate, Emmanuel Macron and especially a certain number of their ministers and I think of Bruno Retailleau in particular, they maintain Islamophobic refrain,” added Manuel Bompard in reference to the Minister of the Interior and now president of LR Bruno Retilleau.
The rebel deputy of Marseille also attacked Gabriel Attal, who made this week the proposal to prohibit the use of the Islamic veil to girls under 15 years.
“The pathetic and unfortunate encounter by Gabriel Attal whom I understood that, in a way, he wants to participate in his turn in the world’s most demagogic and reactionary world championship in the world,” he said.
“It is ridiculous. You will send police in the street to control the identity card of a person who uses the veil to find out if they are 14 and 11 months or 15 years old. Frankly, it is not reasonable,” he added.
The former Prime Minister, now at the head of the Renaissance Macronist Party, defended his proposal against the criticisms that multiply, even in his camp.
“We must defend the Republic against those who want to destabilize it” and “you have to build a protection bubble around children,” he told The Parisian.
