“He expressed himself personally.”

Present in Algeria for a visit of several days, the rebel deputy could not be questioned by the AFP about the cases of Boalem Sansal and Christophefe Gleizes. What to promote the rebel movement to publish a press release requesting the launch of the Francoalgerian writer and the French sports journalist.

The distances of France rebel with respect to its elected officials are very rare. Especially when they refer to imminent members of the movement, usually aligned with management. This means the unique character of the press release published by LFI this Tuesday, July 1 in X with respect to Deputy Sébastien Delugu.

Present in Algeria for a visit of several days, while Algiers and Paris have been going through a sharp diplomatic crisis for several months, the rebel parliamentarian has “expressed personally,” LFI writes. “It does not involve the parliamentary groups of France Rebelde, or the movement.”

“Another way in France”

Interviewed by an AFP correspondent, Sébastien Delogu, who has Algerian origins, explained on Monday that “he said the fact that there is another way in France, that of respect” and that “when we talk, we must talk about the same.”

After exchanging with the agents of the popular National Assembly, he recalled that “there is the Mediterranean Sea that unites us, there is our common history with the Algerian people.”

“Millions of French and French feel insulted against invective invective of certain French ministers,” he said in a peak in Bruno Retailleau. The Interior Minister has been accused of Algerian power to leave a shirt against Algeria.

In addition, Sébastien Delgu asked the Algerian people to “remain focused on the values that are their”, being “aware that the elections are cyclical.” According to him, the radical left “will be (most in power, the editor’s note) to try to bring this in another way” in five years.

It is not a word about Boalem Sansal and Christopheates Gleizan

However, the rebel deputy could not be questioned by the AFP about the case of Boalem Sansal, the Francoalgerian writer whose destiny is in the heart of the diplomatic struggle between Algeria and France, and whose conviction to five years in prison, in particular for “attack on national unity”, was confirmed on Tuesday in appeal.

The same goes for the French sports journalist Christopheates, sentenced to seven years in prison on Sunday, especially for “apologies for terrorism.”

If AFP does not give the absence of answers for the reasons, this seems to be behind the LFI press release. “We are protesting against the arrest of journalist Christopheyes. We ask for his immediate release and renew our requirement to see Boalem Sansal released,” the movement clarifies.

In the same vein, the rebel Eric Coquerel had written a little earlier in X: “I am not really one of those who cultivate tense relations with Algeria. On the contrary. But I claim the liberation of the French journalist Christophe gleizes.”
