“These are the best possibilities.” Jean-Philippe Tanguy, vice president of the deputies of the RN, says on Monday, July 7 in an interview in Le Figaro that his training is favorable for a dissolution of the National Assembly before 2027, even if this scenario would deprive Marine Le Pen of his mandate as deputy director.
“While the rest of the world is experiencing deep and fast changes, France is completely paralyzed,” is justified in reference to the division into three blocks of the National Assembly, which deprives the government of the absolute majority. And to add: “Every day that has passed for a year is lost time for France.”
A year after the early legislative elections of 2024, Emmanuel Macron can again dissolve the National Assembly. A scenario that the Head of State wants to avoid, but has not fired. Without a doubt, the question will arise if François Bayrou and his government are overthrown.
Le Pen can exert its influence “both in the National Assembly and abroad”
In the case of the early legislative elections, Marine Le Pen could not be submitted due to its judgment in the first instance, for embezzlement of public funds, to a judgment of inelegability with the provisional execution in the case of the parliamentary assistants of the FN.
But Jean-Philippe Tanguy ensures that the judicial situation of the extreme right-wing leader would not be a problem:
“Beyond the appeals that would allow him to repair the injustice he suffers, Marine Le Pen has such a political influence that he can exert it both in the National Assembly and abroad.”
While the RN allows the threat of censorship during autumn, which would be effective if the extreme right joined its voices on the left, Jean-Philippe Tanguy shows the muscles, declaring:
“If François Bayrou and the central block think that this unfair sentence protects them from censorship, they are very wrong in the courage and the values of Marine Le Pen.”
Marine Le Pen, interviewed by RTL on Thursday, July 3, estimated that a solution would be “the interest of the French.” While specifying that she believed little in this possibility, “given the very low benefit that the President of the Republic could extract from it.”
