Olivier Marleix: Autopsy confirms the suicide thesis, the deputy updates scheduled for Friday

According to these same sources, a religious ceremony must take place in Paris at the beginning of the school year, but the date has not been specified.

“Without a sign of violence”

In addition, the prosecutor of the Republic of Chartres indicated that the autopsy carried out at the Medical-Legal Institute of Rouen confirms “the thesis of suicide, without signs of external or interior violence.” The deputy was found dead at home on Monday.

“Doctors’ observations converge in a diagnosis based on the consequences of asphyxiation caused by hanging,” he added, added that “the body has been delivered to the family, which will repatriate it to Dreux.”

The National Assembly and the Senate paid tribute to Olivier Marleix, who had been elected deputy for the first time in 2012 and that had chaired the LR group from 2022 to 2024.

Son of former Secretary of State and Baron Politique du Cantal Alain Marleix, was the father of two daughters.
