Gaza: In Paris, more than 300 people gathered to request the release of crew members

21 Pro-Palestinian activists, including two rebel agents from France, Emma Fourreau and Gabrielle Cathala, were in the prostitute, intercepted on Saturday night when Gaza approached and led Israel on Sunday.

More than 300 people met this Tuesday, July 29 at night in Paris to request the launch of the crew of the hand, intercepted by the Israeli authorities while heading towards Gaza with humanitarian aid, said an AFP journalist.

If the two deputies of France Rebel (LFI) who were on board were released, other activists remain detained in Israel. 21 Pro-Palestinians from ten countries were in the prostitute, intercepted on Saturday night when Gaza approached and led Israel on Sunday.

“It was like a Hollywood film,” said the deputy rebel Gabrielle Catala to AFP, who returned to France on Monday night, evoking the moment when Israeli forces went out to the ship.

“There were at least four or five ships, there were about twenty, in excess of large assault rifles, pruning shears,” he describes.

Eight activists still in detention

Eight activists were still arrested. The others agreed to be expelled from Israel, including Gabrielle Cathala.

“The French government is obviously not up to the task,” he said during a press conference at the beginning of the demonstration, asking for “real financial, economic and diplomatic sanctions against Israeli leaders.”

“Our diplomacy is totally defective to the genocide that continues,” he added before talking with the protesters.

One of the activists, the American Christian Smalls, reported “physical violence” during his arrest, while others described “bad conditions” of detention, according to the NGO Adalah, which provides legal help to activists.

“Adalah emphasized the courts that prolonged detention of civilians, forcefully taken to Israel of international waters when they tried to break the blockade of Gaza and deliver humanitarian aid, it is a shameless violation of international law,” added the NGO.

The Madleen, another ship sent by the same organization, had been intercepted by the Israeli army in international waters in June. The activists, including the Swedish of Greta Thunberg, were finally expelled by Israel.
