“If we were called to Matignon, we should respond positively,” said the latter. “We will come to the assembly and take the reforms in which we believe,” said Olivier Faure.
Asking for “a left wing government”, Olivier Faure also asked “to find a vision, the ability to take the country, federate it in a simple objective, that of social and ecological justice.” It is necessary “a government that allows the subjects to discuss so much,” added the socialist official.
The PS does not call “dissolution”
Just a few hours after having trained his government, Sébastien Lecornu gave his resignation on Monday, weakened by the interior by the Honda of the Republicans of Bruno Retailleau, a decision that places Emmanuel Macron at the foot of the wall.
At the end of a meeting of his national office, his best instance, the Socialist Party affirmed “the appointment of a prime minister of the left and the environmentalists”, capable of making commitments and committing “not to use article 49.3,” said the secretary general of the party, Pierre Jouvet.
According to several relatives, the head of PS Olivier Faure, whose name returned in Matignon’s options before the appointment of Sébastien Lecornu, was not contacted by the Elysée at this stage, according to several relatives.
The PS calls “neither the dissolution nor at the beginning of the head of state,” added Pierre Jouvet, while the Jean-Luc Mélenchon movement begs her dismissal.
