Political crisis

Since the dissolution of the National Assembly by Emmanuel Macron on July 8, 2025, France has been taken in the heart of a political and institutional crisis. In the space of a year and a half, three prime ministers were appointed by the President of the Republic after the legislative elections, which constituted a fragmented hemicle, without the absolute majority. After the fall of the Governments Barnier and Bayrou, Sébastien Lecornu, parked in Matignon for less than a month has resigned. The prime minister, the most ephemeral of the fifth republic, estimated that “the conditions were no longer met” to remain in office, deploreing “the partisan appetites” that led to the implosion of his government, after criticism of Bruno Retilleau. The latter, however, was renewed to the Ministry of Interior, deplored “a government that does not reflect the promised break.”
