The government is committed to creating a National Rail Pass for regional trains worth €49 by the end of the second quarter of 2023, according to a proposal by Livre approved in parliament this Thursday.
The proposal indicates that the government, together with the transport authorities, will present a study by the end of the third quarter of next year on ways to extend the national rail pass to the other categories of train services.
The same study, according to the proposal approved this Thursday as part of the vote on the state budget for 2023 (SB2023), should also look at the revision of tariffs for rail services subject to public service obligations, which provides for simplification.
Our proposal to amend the Livre OE2023, made possible this Thursday, foresees that next year the government will evaluate together with the social partners, “ways and mechanisms to encourage active and sustainable mobility of citizens, especially with regard to commuting”🇧🇷
The final global SO2023 vote is scheduled for this Friday.
