Marta Temido, who resigns, explained that the establishment of the executive management “It is the culmination of a process that began with the adoption of the new health bases law, in 2019, which was suspended due to the need to respond to the pandemic. The Minister explained that the new SNS statute, approved at the beginning of August, includes as one of the “main innovations” the creation of an executive directorate for the SNS, provided that the organization and legal nature of this entity in a diploma are recorded. and that it is approved 180 days after approval.
About the name of the leader of the executive directorate, Marta Temido stated only that the appointment was made by resolution of the Council of Ministers.
