Macron, Borne, Hidalgo… politicians congratulate the Blues for their qualification

Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra recalled that Emmanuel Macron had promised his presence in Qatar in the event of qualifying for the semifinals.

A victory that makes people react. Minutes after the classification of the French team to the semifinals of the World Cup in Qatar, obtained after their victory against England, several politicians shared messages on social networks.

Macron in Qatar?

For me, the president of the Republic in person, Emmanuel Macron, published on Twitter a photo of the team with a simple message “Plus that two stages!”, in reference to the name of the remaining match ahead of a powerful troisième victoire en coupe of the world.

For her part, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne also congratulated the French players. “Everyone behind the France team for the semi-final,” she wrote, still on Twitter.

Still in government, Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra quoted Emmanuel Macron’s tweet, reminding him of his promise to go to Qatar if France qualified for the semifinals. “And then with you!” she wrote.

Bardella’s “controversy”

In opposition, the president of the National Association, Jordan Bardella, sent a tweet that sparked controversy on the social network. “Thank you Olivier Giroud, thank you Didier Deschamps, thank you the France team. We are halfway there. The adventure continues!” he wrote.

Given this, several Internet users were surprised by the absence of a mention of Aurélien Tchouaméni, still the first scorer of the match for the Blues.

Finally, the mayoress of Paris and unfortunate candidate of the Socialist Party in the last presidential elections, Anne Hidalgo, delivered a “Bravooooooo France!!!!!!”
