4 out of 10 French people think that the RN has “the ability to participate in a government”

However, 54% of the French believe that the leader of the RN deputies represents “a danger to democracy”. 36% believe that she is the representative of “a nationalist and xenophobic extreme right”. And 39% consider that RN deputies make “xenophobic or racist comments.”

More generally, the RN constitutes a “danger for democracy” according to 46% of the French. However, this figure has decreased in recent years. In February 2017, it stood at 58%.
