France-Morocco: Emmanuel Macron called Mohammed VI before the meeting

The two heads of state are very committed to encouraging and supporting their national team, as they meet this Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. in the semifinals of the World Cup in Qatar.

It is a match that is already resonating well beyond the pitch in these two historically very close countries. A few hours before the expected semifinal between France and Morocco, Emmanuel Macron called the King of Morocco Mohammed VI on Wednesday, as we learned from the Elysee.

The two heads of state are very interested in supporting their national team. The French president will be present in Doha to attend the meeting and addressed a message of encouragement to the Blues of Didier Deschamps.

The king of Morocco in the street to celebrate the victory

For his part, Mohamed VI was seen on the street of Rabat, the Moroccan capital, after the victory of the Atlas Lions against Spain in the round of 16, aboard an SUV, dressed in the national team’s shirt and waving a flag Moroccan.

A rare and unusual image that shows the historical enthusiasm surrounding the Moroccan national team. In addition, Mohammed VI gave his name to the training center inaugurated in 2009 to boost Moroccan football.
