Emmanuel Macron’s popularity rating remains stable, as does Elisabeth Borne’s at 36%. But this adds more discontent, with 59% (+4 points), according to the monthly Ifop barometer for December published by the Sunday newspaper.
The rating of the head of state, 36% satisfied against 62% dissatisfied, remains almost stable among those questioned compared to last month, but Emmanuel Macron has lost 5 popularity points since his election in April.
It is gaining popularity among people who vote Les Républicains (+14 points) and supporters of Insubordinate France (+5 points).
Lowest level of popularity
Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne has as many satisfied people (36%), but has more dissatisfied people (59%, +4 points). She remains at her lowest level of popularity since her arrival at Matignon in May.
The head of government generates notably more dissatisfaction among people aged 50-64 (+7 points) and 65 and over (+4 points). Survey carried out among a sample of 1,956 people representative of the French population aged 18 or over, using the quota method, with a margin of error between 1 and 2.3 points.
