Environmentalists organized a rally in front of the Chinese Communist Party stand this Saturday afternoon, present at the festival of Humanity. Several dozen activists had gathered chanting “solidarity with the Uyghurs” and brandishing banners demanding “their release.”
“Without commitment to our values”, has tweeted Julien Bayou, co-chairman of the environmental group in the National Assembly, present at the scene.
China promised “a festive experience”
Also present were the elected EELV David Cormand, Sabrina Sebaihi and Marine Tondelier, candidate for the next environmental congress. “Humanity yes. Human rights too”, the latter has also launched on his twitter account.
Western studies accuse China ofhaving interned in “camps” at least one million people, mostly Uyghursto perform “forced” sterilizations and abortions on them or force them to perform “forced labor.”
Over the social networksChina touted its presence at the Festival of Humanity, announcing this week that it would have a booth, and “promising a festive experience.”
