The prime minister was confronted this Thursday for not having contact with the mayor of Lisbon, regarding the floods that have hit the capital in recent days.
António Costa’s deputy had already said that it is the Presidency Minister who coordinates the operation on the ground, but at the end of the press conference following the European Council, the Head of Government was asked by a Portuguese journalist if he would contact Carlos Moedas.
“If necessary, I will contact you, what is the problem?”, he wondered, before the journalist insisted: “Why didn’t you do it?”. “Don’t worry,” replied Costa, leaving a message for the mayor after leaving the conference.
“Ask him why he didn’t contact me, my house was under water,” the prime minister shot after the press conference.
@antoniocostapm not contacted @ Coins because of the floods in Lisbon
Costa says Moedas didn’t contact him either “when my house was flooded”. The Prime Minister’s cynicism is astonishing

It should be noted that António Costa lives in Benfica, one of the areas most affected by the floods.
