Suspected of fictitious employment, Fabien Roussel was heard by the Central Office for the Fight against Financial Crimes as part of an investigation by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF) for “misappropriation of public funds”. This hearing takes place more than six months after the publication of a Mediapart survey.
Last February, in the midst of the presidential campaign, the site claimed that the communist would have benefited from a fictitious job for five years in the National Assembly with deputy Jean-Jacques Candelier.
“I worked for five years”
“My work with him has been on my site for a few months, with total transparency (…). I worked for five years with Jean-Jacques and colleagues”, defended the next day in Europe 1 the one who was then a candidate
“I was on the ground, the tires of my car remember it”, Fabien Roussel further advanced.
Halfway, the communist also wondered about the pace of this issue, after the publication of several surveys in which it was on the rise.
“People at War with Me”
“They investigated by questioning people who are at war with me (…) I don’t just have friends, it’s normal,” Fabien Roussel explained again.
Jean-Jacques Candelier had assured at his side that his former parliamentary assistant “worked on important files in the National Assembly”, without being able to transmit written traces of his work meetings.
