LR chief Eric Ciotti says he is ready to “vote on a fair reform” of pensions and believes he has been heard by the government that he must present his bill on Tuesday, he said in the Sunday newspaper.
“The budgetary, demographic and economic situation imposes this reform” and “that is why I want to be able to vote for a fair reform that saves our pay-as-you-go pension system,” said the deputy in this interview, whose group in the National Assembly has in its hands the key to an adoption without the constitutional weapon of 49.3.

“Politically, the government right has always defended the need for a pension reform that leads to a little more work,” and voting for it is “a matter of consistency and responsibility,” says the elected representative of Alps-Maritimes.

The minimum pension of 1,200 euros programmed by the executive must be applied to new entrants and also “retroactively to current retirees who benefit from the most modest pensions”, which “will be one of the conditions of our vote”, he warns the leader of the right -wing party.
