The vote on the bill dedicated to renewable energies was delayed on Tuesday in the National Assembly, after a technical problem, which forced President Yaël Braun-Pivet to organize a vote with a paper ballot and no longer electronic.
After reminders of the rules and a moment of confusion, the holder of the hanger announced the suspension of the session to “edit” ballots, without specifying the deadline for the operation.
The deputies tried on three occasions to vote with their usual buttons on their desks, but several assured that the system was defective.
During the third vote, the president of the Assembly had announced the adoption by 260 votes against 213, but the political groups responded that certain votes had not been taken into account. Several points of order have been issued.
“A case of a rather singular figure”
LR Philippe Gosselin described “quite a unique scenario”, even if there is no “scandal” or “manipulation”.
RN Emeric Salmon called for a paper ballot as it appears “many deputies were unable to cast their vote.”
This moment of hesitation occurs around votes that can be close, although the announced support of the socialist group and part of the small independent group Liot gives air to the government.
