“Unpreparedness and amateurism”: they reject RN’s proposal for a salary increase

The National Assembly rejected on Thursday a bill presented by the RN group, which sought to encourage companies to increase wages by 10% through reductions in employer contributions, as Marine Le Pen advanced during the presidential election.

“Think of the French who need this measure,” pleaded in vain the head of the deputies of the 88 RN, who denounced a “competition in bad faith” on the part of other political formations. The deletion amendments were voted on in turn.

Examined first in the framework of a day dedicated to the proposals of the extreme right group, the text led by Christophe Bentz provided for the exemption of employer contributions to companies that increased wages (up to three Smic) by 10%.

“A considerable cost for public finances”

LR MPs abstained, pointing to “a considerable cost to both public finances and businesses.”

Three Smic, or just over 4,000 euros of net monthly salary, this goes “beyond” the middle classes, said Labor Minister Olivier Dussopt, who considered that the proposal “hits the target.” He rather praised the indexation of the minimum wage to inflation or the shared value bonus that companies can pay.

In the presidential majority, Marc Ferracci (Renaissance) crushed “the lack of preparation and amateurism” of the RN.

“It’s Macron”

The left also rose up against a “stupid, unpleasant and banal measure of the liberal right”, in the words of Jérôme Guedj (PS), who worried about the repercussions of a drop in employer contributions on “the social protection model”. . French.

“It’s Macron, the reduction of charges. So here is your new idea,” launched François Ruffin (LFI) to the well-stocked far-right benches.

“Only the RN group is capable of overcoming the positions,” argued Jean-Philippe Tanguy (RN), for his part, vindicating the spirit of “solidarity” of the National Council of Resistance, under protests.
