Pensions: in the face of a “major mobilization”, Olivier Dussopt wants to “continue convincing”

The Minister of Labor delivered the first reaction from a member of the Government after the numerous demonstrations against the pension reform throughout France.

“You have to listen to the messages that are in the processions.” The Minister of Labor spoke this Thursday night on RTL after a day of mass mobilization across France against the pension reform.

“We knew that this mobilization would be important because retirement is a particular issue, in France more than elsewhere, which refers to a form of intimacy,” said Olivier Dussopt.

“Normal” Worries

Although the official figures have not yet been revealed by the Ministry of the Interior, Philippe Martínez, general secretary of the CGT, “there will be more than two million protesters.”

For the Minister of Labor, who was the first member of the Government to react, “we must continue explaining, to convince”, it is “normal that this generates concerns”.
