For at least three hours this Friday night, Emmanuel Macron’s TikTok account was banned from the social network. as seen the parisianon the page of the Head of State, the videos had disappeared and it was possible to read “Account banished” or “This account cannot be found”.
Several netizens have also questioned and sometimes amused the situation. “What did you do, Manu, to get you banned from TikTok?” asks one user, when another ironically congratulates himself for having “blown up” the president’s account.

Contacted immediately by the parisian, TikTok confirmed that Emmanuel Macron’s account was temporarily “inaccessible”, without giving an explanation or reason. Around 10:45 p.m., access to his videos was restored.
“Ah bah, he’s finally back with us,” writes one user.
The Head of State’s account, created in 2020, has more than 3.9 million subscribers. He regularly shares content about his politics or answers users’ questions on video.
