Pensions: Manuel Bompard will support a renewable strike if “the unions decide”

The coordinator of Insubordinate France was the guest of BFM Politique this Sunday, to address the pension reform project, two days before a new day of mobilization. For Manuel Bompard, the government must give in so that the country does not blockade.

BFM Politique guest this Sunday, Manuel Bompard, coordinator of LFI affirmed that he will support a possible renewable strike. “If it is the only solution, as the majority of the French think, to obtain the withdrawal of this reform, I support it”, lamenting a “Government that does not listen to anyone”.

Manuel Bompard will support “the employees” if they decide to vote for the renewable strike, adding that he prefers “that the government listen to the massive mobilization of the French.”

“The irresponsible are the government”

“If you don’t want the country to be blocked, the small government minority must give up this reform,” he said.

“Don’t start saying that the people who are moving to oppose this reform are irresponsible because it will prevent them from going on vacation. The irresponsible ones are the government”, assured the coordinator of France Insoumise.

Several union organizations have already been projected in the post-31 January. This is especially the case of CGT Cheminots and SUD-Rail, which are planning two consecutive days of strike on January 7 and 8 and a renewable strike starting in mid-February.
