Olivier Dussopt announces that the PNF retains the crime of “favouritism” against him

The Minister of Labor said that the crime of “favouritism” was retained by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office in the case of two works of art received as gifts in 2017.

Labor Minister Olivier Dussopt announced on Friday that the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF) confirmed the crime of “favouritism” in the case of two works of art received as gifts in 2017, BFMTV learned.

In an informative note addressed to his lawyer, “the prosecution considers that only one grievance remains, in this case a formal offense of favoritism in a 2009 public contract,” said Olivier Dussopt, adding that “corruption is not charged.” .

“A press article from May 2020 considered it necessary to implicate me because of links that as mayor at the time of the city of Annonay I would have had with a water treatment company,” Olivier Dussopt told BFMTV.

And he added: “I remind you that it is thanks to the decisions made by my municipal team that we have lowered considerably, for the benefit of the Anonenses and in a sustainable manner, the price of drinking water and the treatment of used water.”

The Minister of Labor admitted having explained to the PNF that “he considers that four out of five of these grievances have no substance and they have been closed without further ado.”

He concluded: “I am going to convince of the merits of my position and my good faith on this last point that remains to be decided.”
