Olivier Dussopt described as “murderer”: Sandrine Rousseau judges the word “unskilled”

The environmental deputy appreciated that Aurélien Saintoul apologized “without any kind of ambiguity” to Olivier Dussopt.

“The debates are tense.” This Monday night, Sandrine Rousseau spoke on BFMTV about the controversy surrounding the LFI deputy Aurélien Saintoul, who described the Minister of Labor Olivier Dussopt as an “impostor” and “murderer”.

“He was not very skillful and I think we all regret that word, he was the first one too,” reacted the EELV deputy.

After a suspension of the session and the general indignation in the Assembly, Aurélien Saintoul then presented “public apologies” after “inappropriate words”. “I made a mistake”, out of “tiredness” and “excitement”, he begged.

Thus, Sandrine Rousseau, his colleague from Nupes, “thanked him for apologizing without any ambiguity to the minister.” For this reason, she considered that a more severe sanction should not be considered because she already received a legal reminder.

Thomas Portes penalized too harshly?

Since the pension reform was discussed in the National Assembly, tensions between the government and the opposition have periodically arisen.

On Friday, another LFI deputy, Thomas Portes, was expelled from the Assembly for fifteen days after stepping on a ball with the image of Olivier Dussopt, again him. This is the most severe disciplinary sanction for deputies.

“I think the penalty is quite excessive,” Sandrine Rousseau said on our antenna.

As a reminder, according to information from BFMTV, the Socialist Party and the environmental group – to which Sandrine Rousseau belongs – wanted a sanction, unlike LFI, but not the maximum sanction: just a call to order.
