Words have “Past Thought” by Bruno Fuchs. MP Modem admitted Tuesday night on BFMTV that his expression was “not appropriate” after comparing Nupes’ attitude in the National Assembly to “a situation close to Samuel Paty.”
“We are, in short, in a situation close to that of Samuel Paty, with an incentive to go further and ask others to commit acts contrary to the values of the Republic,” he had stated precisely during a press conference from his group in the Assembly this Tuesday morning.
A “climate of hate” at the origin of the skid
On our antenna, Bruno Fuchs recalled: “I immediately apologized.” But the deputy mentioned a “climate of invective, tension, hatred, insults, etc.”, at the origin of his statements.
Bruno Fuchs reacted in particular on the deputy of LFI Aurélien Saintoul, who accused Olivier Dussopt this Monday of being an “impostor” and a “murderer”, or even the controversy surrounding Thomas Portes, another LFI deputy, who stepped on a ball with the image of Olivier Dussopt.
“For the last few months we have been witnessing a progressive deconstruction and a transgression of all republican values,” added Bruno Fuchs, expressing his “great concern.”
The president of the LFI in the Assembly, Mathilde Panot, deplored “a dangerous comparison” in the chamber. However, she did not ask for sanction, because she does not want a “sanitized” Assembly.
