Fabien Roussel “resents a lot” with Emmanuel Macron. The day after the visit of the President of the Republic to Rungis, during which he appealed to the “common sense” of the French to defend the extension of the retirement age, the National Secretary of the PCF denounced on BFMTV – RMC “a reform imposed “with forceps” by the Government and pointed out the “contempt” of the words of the Head of State.
“He is so contemptuous and incomprehensible of the reality of the world of work. He is no longer a President of the Republic, he despises the Republic. That is what I feel in the depths of me, as millions of French people, citizens and employees.” he said on BFMTV-RMC on Wednesday.
Fabien Roussel insisted on Emmanuel Macron’s ignorance of the situation of many trades “including butchers, food workers, difficult trades”.
“illegitimate law”
To back up his point, Fabien Roussel mentioned “people who talk to me about their lives” and took the specific example of “a lady who worked in textiles and moved clothes for 30 years, she had a damaged shoulder.”
“We get up early, we break our bodies, we have musculoskeletal disorders, we can’t take it anymore, whether you are a teacher, an engineer, a steel worker, a farmer, and he tells us ‘you are going to work two more years.’ His law is illegitimate,” he insisted.
Fabien Roussel already expressed his indignation on Tuesday after Emmanuel Macron’s statements on pensions, denouncing on Twitter the “relentlessness” of the head of state.
