Not one, but two. This Monday afternoon, the deputy Les Républicains (LR) Maxime Minot will vote on the inter-party motion of no confidence of the group Libertades Independientes en Overseas y Territorio (Liot) and the New Popular Social and Ecological Union (Nupes), but also that of the Rally National (RN).
Your position is unique. The Oise elected official takes the opposite path to that of the party leadership, and not exactly the same exit as most of his “slinger” comrades in the group who want to vote only for the cross-party provision.
“Political Policy”
“My only compass is the general interest and the trust that the inhabitants of my territory entrusted to me last June”, justifies the 35-year-old elected official during the “Les 4 Vérités” program on France 2. For him, “we we have to stop playing political politics” and “stop looking at where the proposals come from”.
“Today, what do the voters tell you?” Maxime Minot asks himself, before answering himself: “‘We are fed up with the political apparatuses, whether you listen to the leaders of your political family or others.'” And to conclude: “They want us to take care of their concerns.”
According to him, “a good ten, even a good fifteen” LR deputies will support the motion of no confidence. That is less than the 30 votes from the right-wing caucuses needed to overthrow the government and achieve an absolute majority.
Maxime Minot had supported Lot deputy Aurélien Pradié (who will only vote on Monday for the inter-party motion of no confidence) during the LR Congress in December.
In the second round of the presidential elections, Marine Le Pen won 53.7% of the vote against Emmanuel Macron. Marine Le Pen came first in the first round with 31.9% of the vote, ahead of Jean-Luc Mélenchon (23.6%) and Emmanuel Macron (21.5%).
