“It is with humility and seriousness that I have assumed my responsibility and that of my Government. For our pay-as-you-go pension system. Because of our social model, ”he continued.
“Democracy has spoken”
Among the heavyweights of the government, the Minister of Labor Olivier Dussopt assured that from now on the teams of his ministry “are mobilized in this place and in all the others towards full employment.”
And he added: “We are focused on its implementation, in the best conditions for the insured.”
show guest Dailythe Renaissance leader Aurore Bergé felt that “democracy spoke because there was a vote.”
“This vote showed that there were no other possible majorities than the one we are,” he continued.
The deputy, however, acknowledged that her group “was not perfect” and stressed “that there are undoubtedly mistakes that have been made.”
Sacha Houlié, deputy and president of the Legal Commission, assured on Twitter that there would be “finally no award for inconsistency and opportunism.”
Before continuing: “Despite the united voices of the left, the extreme right and part of what was the right, the motion of censure is rejected.”
A “vital” reform for Bayrou
For François Bayrou, high planning commissioner and president of Modem, the vote was “close” and “it is not a victory for anyone.” But for him, this reform was vital”, in particular because “an obligation of justice made it vital”.
“We have heard here and there that pensions are balanced, it is a joke and it is an immoral lie!” he said.
Faced with the rejection of the two motions of censure, the opposition deputies, for their part, called for the departure of Elisabeth Borne. The Nupes asked in particular Emmanuel Macron not to sign the text, the last step to ratify the text.
