The president of the General Assembly of the Republic this Monday congratulated the respect for democratic rules of all parliamentary groups “except one” and rejected any calculation when he visits the different areas of the country outside Lisbon.
These views were conveyed by Augusto Santos Silva in the speech he delivered at dinner on the first day of the parliamentary days of the PS, in Tomar, in the district of Santarém, when he briefly assessed the first year of the legislative power, which ends Wednesday.
“I would like to extend a word of congratulations to Parliament as a whole. As we approach the balance sheet of this first year, this word is deserved and justified”to maintain.
According to the former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Affairs, in this first year “the body of political forces represented in parliament acts in accordance with democratic rules and institutional rules”.
“As we all know, this applies to all but one of the political forces represented in the Portuguese Parliament. Those political forces that follow, obey and adopt the rules of democratic debate also deserve a word of congratulations”he stated, without citing Chega as a negative example.
