A very surprising montage on the Facebook page of a doctors union. The French Union for Free Medicine (UFML), which represents doctors who practice as liberals, shared a photo montage of the Renaissance deputy Stéphanie Rist on the social network. “It’s getting better and better,” the Loiret parliamentarian, rapporteur for the pension reform bill in the National Assembly, responded on her Twitter account.
An “unacceptable insult” for the Minister of Health
Stéphanie Rist, who is a rheumatologist by profession, has stepped forward in recent days to defend the entry into application of her law of interim doctors at the hospital. Her remuneration is now capped at 1,390 euros gross for a 24-hour call at the public hospital, much to the chagrin of the doctors.

A union of doctors has already threatened to castrate the minister

This is not the first time that a doctors’ union has raised its voice. The liberal doctors union (SML) had threatened to castrate François Braun in early March. An apology for the union involved

“I apologized to Mrs. Rist. This page (Facebook) has a statute, and moderators. This post has escaped you. It is an insult to Mrs. Rist, and to those who work here every day in defense of our profession”, acknowledged its president Jérôme Marty on Facebook.
Despite these tensions, the discussions between the executive and the doctors are not stagnant for François Braun. “The link is not broken, we are discussing in a manly but correct way,” explained the Minister of Health in March on France Inter.
