The parliamentary April 25 this year promises to go down in history. At 10 a.m., before the traditional solemn session in honor of the revolution, the plenary will welcome Brazilian President Lula da Silva, who will deliver a speech.
Then, at 11:30 am, the traditional session will begin, which will be concluded, as usual, by the President of the Republic, after speeches by all parties and by the Speaker of the Parliament, the socialist Augusto Santos Silva.
According to the PSP, at least four demonstrations are being organized for the space outside parliament, at least two of which have an antagonistic meaning: one anti-Lula, from Chega, and another pro-Lula, from Brazilian PT supporters in Lisbon. Ventura yesterday spoke of a “powder keg” and blamed the Lisbon City Council for allowing this situation.
