Elisabeth Borne continues her ascent. Her popularity rating increased for the third consecutive month, according to an Ifop poll for the JDD. 43% of French people surveyed say they are satisfied with the Prime Minister’s action. An increase of two points compared to August.
Emmanuel Macron less popular than Elisabeth Borne
Respondents view the CEO as “serious and hard-working,” “determined” or even “reliable.” In a political comeback marked by the issue of pension reform, Élisabeth Borne wins points in the categories that support her. It registered an increase of 13 points among supporters of the Les Républicains party (62% satisfied), 19 points among Socialist supporters (51%), 6 points among retirees (53%) and 9 points among those over 65 (56 %).
Emmanuel Macron sees his rating increase by one point (38%). This is the first return to school since September 2017 where his popularity is on the rise. However, it is inferior to that of Elisabeth Borne. Above all, the proportion of French people who are very dissatisfied with his action remains fixed at 30%. By comparison, that of respondents dissatisfied with the Prime Minister fell one point to 19%.
