Management training for deputies. Yaël Braun-Pivet made the announcement in an interview with Parisian. One way of fighting in particular against the moral harassment that employees of elected officials can be victims of.
According to the president of the National Assembly, a parliamentarian may face requirements that go “beyond what is reasonable.” They are not “necessarily used to managing a team of collaborators, they do not necessarily anticipate that their mission will also be subject to many political and psychological tensions, with sometimes complicated work schedules”, explains Yaël Braun-Pivet.
Several parliamentarians accused of moral harassment
The Yvelines deputy also specifies that these training sessions will be complemented with “the help of a coach who may be requested at the request of a deputy if he encounters difficulties in his management.”
In recent months, several elected officials have been the subject of accusations of moral harassment. This is the case, for example, of the former deputies of the Republic in March, Sira Sylla (who was convicted for this reason, note) and Laetitia Avia or even Esther Benbassa. The latter had been excluded from the environmental group with which she sat in the Senate.
