PCP wants registration of Atlantic Gateway partners and managers

O Last Friday, PCP requested documentation regarding the registration of all Atlantic Gateway partners and managersby David Neeleman and Humberto Pedrosa, including start and end terms and references to clerical errors.

During Thursday’s hearing with former Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications Sérgio Monteiro, Communist deputy Bruno Dias said that the former executive chairman of TAP Fernando Pinto joined Atlantic Gateway’s management on June 19, 2015a subject the former ruler said he had no recollection of.

“We have the president of TAP telling the government it urgently needed privatization after being invited by those who bought it. […] The government manager has a guaranteed job with those negotiating with the state to buy the company,” emphasized Bruno Dias.

According to the application filed this Friday, the PCP “requests the Department of Justice to register all partners and executives of the Atlantic Gateway company with the Registry, including the records of the beginning and end of functions, as well as all references to clerical errors and steps to correct them, including the years 2015 and 2021”.

During the same hearing, but already during the question hour of the blockade deputy Pedro Filipe Soares, the former secretary of state referred to an article in Jornal de Negócios of November 2015 – meanwhile recalled by the adviser who accompanied him to the hearing – in which Fernando Pinto “of was of the opinion that it was an administrative error to join the holding company”.

“It would have been much better if this administrative error had not been made,” the former secretary of state agreed.

At the end of the hearing, the PCP stated that it would submit a request for information to the Department of Justice to obtain all civil registry documentation on all partners and members of Atlantic Gateway’s management, as well as any references to administrative errors and efforts to correct them.

Bruno Dias added that he chose not to read confidential documents, therefore he indicated the date of June 19, 2015 as the date of Fernando Pinto’s entry into the management of the consortium and not the date given in the public documents state, November 5, 2015. , as noted by Deputy Hugo Carneiro.
