FPF. Proposal to external entity for arbitration ready in July

The proposal to create an external arbitration management body will be ready in July, a source from the Federal Arbitration Board (CA) told Lusa on Tuesday, after the third meeting of the working group charged with this task.

According to the same source, at the meeting of the group led by the President of the Board of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), José Fontelas Gomes, the President, Pedro Proença, and the Executive Director, Rui Caeiro, of the Portuguese professional footballer Football League (LPFP) was present, as well as the president of the Portuguese Association of Football Referees (APAF), Luciano Gonçalves.

In addition to this meeting, which received federal legal support, Fontelas Gomes has already established unilateral contacts with other members of the FPF, such as the National Association of Football Coaches (ANTF) and district and regional associations, to facilitate the debate on the creation of this external entity, on a journey that should be completed later this month.

According to the same source of the board of the FPF, the federal intention is to bring the proposal of the working group into public consultation in July, so that it can be analyzed and evaluated.
