The experienced Croatian midfielder Luka Modric has extended his relationship with Real Madrid for one more season, until June 2024, continuing an 11-year career with the ‘Meringues’, the Spanish Football League club announced today.
“Real Madrid CF and Luka Modric have reached an agreement to extend the player’s contract, which will keep him tied to the club until June 30, 2024,” said the Madrid shield on its official website.
The experienced 37-year-old player, who won the Ballon d’Or and The Best award in 2018, signed for Real Madrid in 2012, having played a total of 488 games and won 23 trophies.
In these 11-year career at Madrid, Modric has won five Champions Leagues, five Club World Cups, four European Super Cups, three Leagues, two Copas del Rey and four Spanish Super Cups.
In addition to Real Madrid, which he has represented since 2012, the Croatian international has also worn the colors of Croatian Zrinjski Mostar and Dinamo Zagreb on 166 occasions, as well as English Tottenham.
