The newspaper O JOGO guarantees that Marcano also agreed to lower his salary. The defender receives close to two million euros per season.
Marcano had asked for a few days to think about FC Porto’s proposal, and in recent days, after the vacation period, the Spaniard told the Pinto da Costa management that he was ready to complete his ninth season at Dragão.
Marcano has already played 247 games for FC Porto and is the defender with the most goals scored in the club’s history. In eight years he scored 28 goals.
