Dutch driver Max Verstappen (Red Bull) won the Austrian Formula 1 Grand Prix this Sunday, the ninth race of the season, and further entrenched the lead in the World Drivers’ Championship.
The Dutchman completed the 71 laps of the Spielberg circuit in 01:25.33 hours, beating Monegasque Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) by 5.155 seconds, in second place, while the Mexican Sérgio Pérez (Red Bull) was third, 17.188 behind the winner.
Verstappen achieved his seventh victory in nine races already held this year, holding firm at the top of the World Drivers’ Championship, with 229 points, 81 more than Sergio Pérez, second.
