The classic between the champions FC Porto and Benfica of the 10th round of the Portuguese football competition will be played on Friday, October 21 at 20:15, the Liga Portuguese Professional Football Federation (LPFP) announced on Tuesday.
The match, which will take place in Estádio do Dragão, opens the round in which the current provisional leader, Sporting de Braga, and the runner-up, Sporting, will visit Estoril Praia on Saturday (6:00 pm) and in a reception in Casa-Pia (20:30).
On the day after the clash between ‘dragons’ and ‘eagles’, FC Porto travel to the Azores to face Santa Clara on Saturday, October 29 at 3:30 PM, while Benfica will host Desportivo de Chaves and Sporty visit Arouca, at 8.30 pm.
In this 11th round, Sporting de Braga will only visit Gil Vicente on Sunday 30 October at 20:30.
Before the sixth round, the so-called ‘big’ three will all play on Saturday, September 10: Famalicão–Benfica (15:30), Sporting–Portimonense (18:00) and FC Porto–Desportivo de Chaves (20:30) .
Braga’s ‘arsenalists’ will not return to the field until Sunday, September 11, moving to the Rio Ave perimeter fence, again at 8.30pm.
In the seventh round, FC Porto will visit Estoril Praia on Saturday, September 17 at 6 p.m., while Sporting will travel to Boavista the same day at 8:30 p.m.
Benfica will take the field at 6pm on Sunday to receive Marítimo, while Sporting de Braga will play at home with Vizela at 8.30pm.
The ‘poster’ match of the eighth round is the reception of FC Porto to Sporting de Braga, scheduled for Friday, September 30 at 21:15, after Gil Vicente’s visit to Sporting, at 19:00, while Benfica Vitória de Braga will visit Guimarães on Saturday, October 1, at 8:30 PM.
In the ninth round, Sporting will visit Santa Clara at 3:30 PM, Benfica will receive Rio Ave at 6:00 PM, the same time as FC Porto to Portimonense, all on Saturday, October 8.
Sporting de Braga will receive Desportivo de Chaves the next day, at 8:30 PM.
