Belgian cyclist Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) took his third victory this Friday in the 110th Tour de France, winning the seventh stage in the sprint, in a calm ride for the yellow jersey, Danish rider Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo- Visa).
At the end of the 169.9 kilometers between Mont-de-Marsan and Bordeaux, Philipsen prevented Mark Cavendish (Astana) from making Tour history by beating the Briton, second, and the Eritrean Biniam Girmay (Intermarché-Circus-Wanty) in the sprint . third with the same 03:46:28 as the winner.
Vingegaard arrived as part of the peloton and on Saturday he will set off for the eighth run, a 200.7km journey between Libourne and Limoges, leading 25 seconds over Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates), second overall and 01.34 minutes left Australian Jai Hindley (BORA-hansgrohe), third.
