Portugal ended today with a 100% victorious run in Group A of the European Under-19 Football Championship, beating the host Malta, 2-1, in the third and final round.
With qualification and first place already secured, the team from the corners scored by Miguel Falé (minute 8) and João Vasconcelos (75), with Tuma (72) still to tie, in Malta’s only goal in the European Cup.
Portugal ends Group A with nine points, five more than Italy and Poland, who tied at one goal, passing the Italians to the semifinals, while Malta ends without points.
