FC Barcelona announced on Wednesday that it has reached an agreement with Athletico Paranaense on the transfer of Brazilian Vítor Roque, for eight seasons, until June 2031, with a release clause of 500 million euros.
According to the club, “in principle, the player will not be part of the squad before 2024-25”, so “he will remain with Athletico Paranaense”, although “his inclusion in the winter market is not ruled out if the financial ‘fair play’ allows “.
For example, FC Barcelona will pay Athletico Paranense 30 million euros for 18-year-old striker Vitor Roque over three years, an amount that could rise to 61 million euros if all variables are met during the seven-year contract.

Born in Timóteo, Vitor Roque won two titles (Paranaense and South American Under-20 Championships, in which he was top scorer, with six goals) and made his debut for the Brazilian national team in March, in a friendly against Morocco.
Vítor Roque will be the 47th Brazilian to defend the FC Barcelona crest, counting on the B-squad players, with the last starting line-ups being Arthur Melo, Malcom, Neto, Emerson and Raphinha.
