Portugal is in the final of the European Roller Hockey Championship after beating France 5-2 in the semifinals. Now, the Portuguese team awaits the match between Spain and Italy, from which the other finalist will emerge.
After winning the group stage 3-1, Portugal started better and made it 1-0 in the first minute, through Telmo Pinto. Rémi Herman equalized from a penalty, but Rafa and João Souto gave the team peace of mind. Even before the break, Carlo di Benedetto lowered, but Gonçalo Alves, twice, made it 5-2, which was verified in the middle of the game.
Spain and Italy meet this Friday and only one will play the European title with Portugal. In the group stage, Portugal beat Italy 7-4 and drew 3-3 with the Spanish. The final is scheduled for this Saturday.
