Sporting de Braga meets today the rival in the third qualifying round of the 2023/24 Football Champions League, for which Benfica and FC Porto are directly qualified, in the draw that takes place at the UEFA headquarters.
The Minho team is seeded in the path of non-champions of the competition and will be able to face Sturm Graz (Austria), Backa Topola (Serbia) or the winner of one of the matches of the second qualifying round, between Genk (Belgium) and Servette (Switzerland) and between Dnipro (Ukraine) and Panathinaikos (Greece).
The draw for the third and penultimate preliminary round of the Champions League, which gives access to the final play-off of the group stage -for which Benfica, the Portuguese champion, and FC Porto, the runner-up, are classified-, begins at 12:00 (11:00 in Lisbon), in the Swiss city of Nyon.
Starting at 2:00 p.m. (1:00 p.m. in Lisbon) the draw for the third qualifying round of the Europa Conference will take place, which will be attended by Arouca and Vitória de Guimarães, if the Minho team beats the Slovenian Celje in the second qualifying round.
