The Italian team beat Argentina 1-0 on Monday in the debut of both teams in the Women’s Soccer World Cup that takes place in Australia and New Zealand.
In a scoring match for Group G, the only goal was scored by Cristiana Girelli in the 87th minute.
With this result, the Italians add their first three points in the tournament and equalize Sweden, which leads group G after beating third-placed South Africa.
