A Cristiano Ronaldo goal from the penalty spot secured Al-Nassr’s qualification for the final of the Arab Champions Cup this Wednesday, in a 1-0 win over Iraqi Al Shorta in the semi-finals.
The Portuguese striker, who scored for a fourth successive game in the competition after scoring against Tunisia’s Monastir, Egypt’s Zamalek and Morocco’s Raja Casablanca, also saw one of his goals disallowed for offside after 31 minutes.
Al-Nassr’s superiority was evident, as evidenced by the fact that Al Shorta did not make a single shot on target against the Saudi goal, although it caused many problems due to the defense system it had set up, which was only dismantled in the 75th. minute, when Cristiano Ronaldo beat the penalty kick committed to Senegal striker Sadio Mane, signed from Bayern Munich.
