The Portuguese cyclist Rafael Reis (Glassdrive-Q8-Anicolor) will set off this Thursday for the first online stage of the 84th Tour of Portugal with the mission of defending the yellow jersey he won in the prologue.
One day after Rafael Reis wore the first yellow in Viseu, the 125 cyclists that make up the peloton for this edition have 188.5 kilometers ahead of them, mostly flat, between the Sangalhos National Velodrome, Anadia and Ourém.
Along the way, which will begin at 12:30 p.m., the runners will find the first mountain count of this edition at kilometer 23.6, a third category in Serra do Buçaco.

A little further on, more specifically at kilometer 49.1, in Vila Nova de Poiares, the peloton finds a flying target, which distributes three, two and a second bonus to the first three to cross the risk, something that will also be repeated in that of Ferreira do Zêzere (124.5) and Tomar (147.5).
Before arriving at Praça D.Maria II, in Ourém, scheduled for 5:42 p.m., the cyclists met two other mountain counts, one of the fourth category in Alburitel (159.2) and a third in Fátima (175 ,5).
The Portuguese from Glassdrive-Q8-Anicolor has two seconds ahead of the Spanish Txomin Juaristi (Euskaltel-Euskadi) and three over his Uruguayan teammate Mauricio Moreira, current champion and third overall.
