Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) retired from the Austrian MotoGP Grand Prix this Sunday due to mechanical problems as he ran in 13th place.

The pilot from Almada, who started from eighth position, entered the pits of the RNF Aprilia team on lap seven, when he was 13th, completing the stoppage of the feature race, having already retired on Saturday in the sprint race , but due to falling.

According to information from Sport TV, the reason for today’s withdrawal was an overheating problem with the front wheel of the Portuguese Aprilia.

This was Miguel Oliveira’s sixth retirement this season, the second due to mechanical issues.

The Portuguese driver retired from all main races of the GPs of Portugal, Spain and Italy, and the sprint race of the Austrian GP, ​​all due to crashes, while he retired in the Dutch GP due to a breakdown.

The Austrian GP is the 10th of 20 races of the season.
