The Portuguese Isaac Nader ranked 12th on Wednesday in the final of the 1,500 meters of the World Athletics Championships, in Budapest, won by the British Josh Kerr.
Isaac Nader, 24, completed in 03:35:41 minutes the test that marked the return of the Portuguese athletes to the distance finals, after Rui Silva’s bronze, in Helsinki2005, improving the 40th he had achieved in his debut, in Oregon2022.
Josh Kerr surpassed, with his personal best (03.29.38 minutes), in second position the Norwegian Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Olympic champion and runner-up in the world in this distance, while the Norwegian Narve Gilje Nordas also finished in third position.
